This rich and expressive artwork was inspired by a recent day out on my boat cruising along the Swan River in Perth, exploring Elizabeth Quay, the colours bouncing off the water's still surface creating a kaleidoscopic mix of colours and abstract shapes. After laying down an interesting groundwork of textured paste, this artwork developed in a spontaneous manner, with a few textured acrylic skins collaged on to add depth, interest and ambiguity to the final imagery. The painting is multi-directional, allowing the viewer to decide which we to orientate which affects the flow and 'feel' of the design. Keywords:
Two coats of gloss varnish protects the painting from UV and dust and adds depth to the colours.
