The Blush
The Age Of The Exile
"We live in the age of the refugee, the age of the exile" Ariel Dorfman

'Modern art to me is nothing more than the expression of contemporary aims of the age we live in' Jackson Pollock
First painting in my 2019 Abstract, Deconstructed Provocateur Series.
"The Blush" more about Australia's national embarrassment on the world stage as it attempts to have a legitimate voice on human rights, preaching to others - when asylum seekers are locked in indefinite detention, denied legal entry to the country where they sought asylum.

Inspired by my outrage at the inhumanity, the greed, the cynicism of this Age of the refugee, the Age of the Exile, the age we live in. I simply don't get it; how can we not see that humanity, despite its wonderful and terrifying diversity, is you, me; one family?
We are living Orwell's "1984"predictions - Big Brother, Perpetual War and displacement, Fake News, and control of the masses by 'bread and circuses' and the s
